  10. The Information contained on this CD-ROM has been compiled from many
  11. sources, such as the Internet, Information archives and Submissions
  12. from current users.

  14. You can press the "HELP" key at any time whilst on the main encyclopedia
  15. screen to access the on-line help screens.

  19. System Requirements

  21. Minimum: AGA Amiga, 4mb Ram, 2x CD-ROM.
  22. Recommended: AGA Amiga, 6mb Ram, 4x CD-ROM.

  26. AmiCDFS
  27. -------
  28. AmiCD FileSystem is a more advanced CDFileSystem than the standard
  29. "Commodore" filesystem, Although this CD should work fine on any CD-ROM
  30. drive, We recommend that you have either AmiCDFS or AsimCDFS installed
  31. for your CD file-system.

  33. Please note however that not all CD-ROM drives require this software to
  34. be installed.  eg: Zappo Drives (See Below)
  35.  
  36. When installing this software, please read the on-screen information
  37. carefully.

  39. The default setup of the supplied version of AmiCDFS is for a Squirrel
  40. interface connected to a SCSI drive, you may need to change the "icon
  41. information" appropriately to match you CD-ROM drive.

  51. Known problems!
  52. ---------------
  53. * The Encyclopedia will run on a 4mb Amiga but many of the functions
  54.   such as Audio/Video film-clips may be un-viewable. This also applies
  55.   to the main "Demo" and "Experience" sequences.
  56.  
  57. * If you do encounter problems running the CD the most common problem is
  58.   that you you are not running AmiCDFS. You will need to install it
  59.   before the Encyclopedia is used.
  60.   (see above).

  62. * Zappo drives simply need the latest version of the driver software
  63.   installed, this can be found in the FREEDATA directory of this CD.
  64.  
  65. * Software running in the background, such as a clock or VirusKiller can
  66.   cause the Encyclopedia to fail to load.
  67.  
  68. * IControl "Avoid Flicker" is ticked - This needs to be UN-Ticked if running
  69.   on a standard PAL monitor.

  71. * Reno CD-ROMs - upon installation seem to de-grade Workbench3 down to
  72.   Workbench2, so you may need to copy across all you Workbench3
  73.   directories apart from the "S" directory, this should fix the problem.

  75. * Although the Encyclopedia will work fine on a 6mb Amiga, you may
  76.   encounter very low memory situations if you have been or are running
  77.   other programs, This can cause "sound" problems.

  79. * The mathieeedoubbas.library may be corrupt, the correct size of the
  80.   mathieeedoubbas.library is 5240 bytes.
